Match report On a gloriously sunny day, NTCC headed to North Watford to pitch their cricketing skills against Abbots Langley. Skipper Kish lost the toss and was requested to bat first.



A cautious start by openers Pradip and Smit laid the blueprint for a strong foundation, however they were unable to both convert their scores and it was left to Mandar (23) and Jay (22) to add substance to the NTCC scorecard. The middle order did not explode this week and it was left to skipper Kish to re-build the innings scoring a rapid 47 in 33 deliveries. NTCC batted through their 40 overs and posted a total of 158.



Abbots Langley top order started with intent and certainly looked like they would hit the target with relative ease. The opening attack of Akshar and Mandar although tight bore no early wickets. As the new ball softened it was the guile of Amit (2 wickets) who ate into the batting with superb support from our Bollywood Bowling Superhero Pradip (2 wickets), ultimately skipper Gordy (5 wickets) pulled the rabbit out of the hat and took the tail-enders out to leave the opposition 48 runs short of the target.
