Match report Another dismal display by Northwood Town II saw them suffer another heavy defeat, picking up only 3 points in their battle with relegation. Their causes were not helped by the very late dropouts of two players as they again travelled with just 9 men. The hosts won the toss and asked Town to bat. Both Akshay Loomba and Phil Carter were dismissed cheaply as Town faced total humiliation. Skipper Adam Hills joined Sid Siddharth at the crease and the pair batted patiently putting on 69 for the third wicket before Siddharth was bowled for 36. Hills was offered little support by the middle order and the skipper fell for 43 trying to push Town towards a semi-defendable score. With just 9 men, Towns final total of 109 was never going to be enough.

In reply, Akshay Loomba (2/38) produced a lively opening spell and bowled well in conjunction with Ben Rawson-Jones (1/35) but both found any wayward balls put away with easy by home batsman Irwin as Adelaide reached their total off just 16 overs. Town have 4 games left to salvage their season.
