Match report Away at Hatch End with 10 men. Hatch End won toss and batted. Tushar and Krunal got us off to a fantastic start doing a very passable impression of Roy and Bairstow in destructive ODI mode Both made rapid 80s with the ball disappearing to all parts of the ground. Harshil and Mairaj then kept the scoreboard moving on and we finished with a mammoth 247 for 4. Even with short boundaries
this was always likely to be too much and so it proved. After 10 overs Hatch End were 4 down with Rudra snaffling 3 with some impressive seam bowling. Smit and Mairaj then kept the pressure on with further tight bowling, with the spinner making the ball kick and turn. The Hatch End no.3 was playing a great knock but wickets kept falling at the other end. We then went with spin at both ends with Sukhi and Harry flighting the ball and extracting turn. The Hatch End no 3 carried his bat for 98 and consistently found the short boundary but the other Hatch End batsmen were outclassed and it was only a matter of time before they were polished off a long way short of the target with Smit delivering the coup de grace. The match was played in a good spirit with the opposition commenting on the quality of the NT spin bowling on display
